Memoirs of a Goldfish by Devin Scillian and illustrated by Tim Bowers

This is a cute and funny picture book for toddlers and preschoolers. A goldfish lives alone in his round bowl. As the days go by, more and more creatures join him in his bowl. Goldfish gets very annoyed as his bowl is too crowded and he has no peace or quiet. But when he is removed from the bowl and put into another bowl all by himself again, he misses his new friends and his life with them. In a perfect ending, the reader discovers that Goldfish was only removed from the bowl temporarily and now he and all the other creatures are reunited in a much larger tank with plenty of room for all of them. The colorful and quirky illustrations are adorable: we can see how the goldfish is feeling based on his facial expressions and can also discern the personalities of the other inhabitants of the bowl.
