Pigsty by Mark Teague
A funny picture book on a common childhood theme: keeping your room clean. When Wendell’s mother gets sick of asking him to clean his room, she gives up and says he can live in a pigsty in he wants to. To Wendell’s surprise, when he enters his room, he finds that a pig has moved in. At first, Wendell enjoys the company, but as time goes on, more and more pigs move in, taking over his bed, and then wrecking his toys. Eventually, even Wendell reaches his limit. He recruits the pigs to help him clean his room. Once the room is clean, the pigs no longer want to live there and return home to their farm. The illustrations are bold and colorful and add to the humor of the story.
